For the 5th year in a row, East Lake High School's Marching Band and Color Guard hosted the Classic Invitational at the ELHS stadium on Saturday, October 24, 2009.
Marching Bands from high schools around the county and beyond, including Georgia, participated in this prestigious competition.
Under the direction of band teacher, Shawn Anderson, the show began at 5:00 pm with a smooth flow of entertainment from the participating high schools. East Lake's Silver Sound took to the field around 8:30 pm to perform "Twelve Seconds to Launch", a moving tribute to those who dedicate their lives to space exploration.
