February 3rd was a national signing day for student athletes and at East Lake there were players from football and both girls and boys soccer signing their college commitment contracts. Eagle Eye has a video of the signings. Congratulations to Collin Cole, Tatiana Perez, Stephanie Ferro, Javon Bostic, Matt Kimball, and Nick Patterson. Stephanie Ferro was also honored as the Knology Player of the Week.
Some of the Boys Soccer players joined Eagle Eye on the set this morning. Riley Lester talked about the big game at home tonight and introduced players. Tonight is a regional game at 7 pm. The first 50 ELHS student fans get a free slice of Sans pizza.
All students are invited to sign up for Field Day today or tomorrow during lunch at the flag pole. Registration is $5 per person with 5 people per team. Field Day will take place on the football field at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, February 17th. If students miss signing up this week, they can see Ms. Johnson in room 2223 next week to do so. All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society.
Winter Formal Dance tickets will go on sale for $15 starting Wednesday, February 10th through Friday, February 12th. The second sale week the price will go up to $20. Buy your dance tickets at the theatre box office during lunch. The dance will be on Saturday, February 20th in the cafeteria from 7 to 11:00 pm. The proceeds from the dance will go to help the people of Haiti.
