East Lake's Band program is sponsoring a yard sale and car wash at school on Saturday starting at 6:30 a.m. The band's Winterguard is performing at Countryside HS on Saturday at 4:30 pm in their third competition of the year.
The Dance team travels to UCF tomorrow to compete in Nationals after placing 3rd at States. Eagle Eye planned to have a video story today, but technical problems delayed our plans. Watch Monday for the video and more news on the Dance team.
Congratulations to the senior soccer players selected to be on the Pinellas All-Star team. Tomorrow night the Pinellas All-Stars will challenge Hillsborough All-Stars at Countryside High School. The girls game begins at 6 pm and boys kick off at 8 pm.
Please drop by Publix on East Lake Road any time Saturday to make a donation to the Invisible Children's Relay for Life team. All proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society.
Tonight both the girls' softball team and boys' baseball team have home games against Seminole at 7 pm. Best of luck to each.
Eagle Eye News ends today with a feature story about a former student Rachel Hoffman who was killed in an undercover drug sting in 2008. This week the second of her two murderers was sentenced to life in prison. Rachel's story is one that due to drug involvement ended tragically. We thank her father Irv Hoffman for his interview with reporter Max Chervitz.
